In the hills of Cymru, the second harvest has always been more than fruit and grain. Gŵyl Canol Hydref—the Mid-Harvest Festival—is a time of balance: between dark and light, abundance and endurance, vine and oak.

This short story reweaves fragments of tradition—garlands of wheat and vine, acorns and pinecones strung into charms, beeswax candles glowing in autumn colours—into a festival night of feasting, song, and blessing.

At its heart lies a reminder: that strength is not found in one alone, but in the circle of many, bound together like vine to oak.

✨ If you’re celebrating this season, may your vines be heavy, your bread sweet, and your candles burn bright through the turning of the year.

Here's to new chapters, ancient legends, and the stories that connect us all. Happy reading. 💙
