Ever heard of the Scottish Kelpie? Wales has its own terrifying water horse, and it takes the trickery to a whole new level! 🌊
In Welsh folklore, the Ceffyl Dŵr (literally "water horse") is a malevolent spirit that haunts mountain pools, waterfalls, and misty rivers.
The legend says it appears as a gorgeous, gentle horse (sometimes even glowing or winged!) to weary travellers walking home in the dark. It practically begs you to ride it.

But as soon as you climb on...
1️⃣ It takes off at a blinding, terrifying speed.
2️⃣ It flies high into the sky.
3️⃣ It suddenly dissolves into pure mist, dropping its rider to a grim death below.
How to survive? Local lore says to keep a handful of white hawthorn flowers in your pocket to throw at it and break its power!
👇 Have you ever heard of this Welsh legend? Let me know if you’d be brave enough to ride a mysterious glowing horse!
Here’s to moonlit myths, quiet wonder, and the stories that refuse to be lost. 💙
